Steven Thom­son knows about mar­ket­ing and mer­chan­dis­ing — both in fash­ion, in­ter­na­tional mod­el­ing and real estate. He en­tered real estate 15 years ago while in search of a pro­fes­sion with less travel.

“I was look­ing for a ca­reer where I could use my cre­ative and mer­chan­dis­ing ex­pe­ri­ence as was well as my ed­u­ca­tion and en­thu­si­asm of as­set mar­kets,” he ex­plained.

“I was start­ing a new fam­ily and wanted to be around for all the spe­cial mo­ments.”

His ex­po­sure from mod­el­ing, art di­rect­ing, and styling trans­lated well into real estate in re­gards to un­der­stand­ing a prop­erty and the aes­thetic way in which to present it. He has lever­aged that ex­pe­ri­ence into suc­cess­fully mar­ket­ing prop­er­ties to out­pace the mar­ket’s sell­ing av­er­ages in both mar­ket time and list­ing to sales price ra­tios.

“I make sure my list­ings stand out by first mer­chan­dis­ing, or stag­ing, the prop­erty then use a va­ri­ety of pro­fes­sional pho­tog­ra­phy to con­vey the home in its best light as the first and most im­por­tant show­ing is on­line.”

A strong ne­go­tia­tor, he also pro­vides keen knowl­edge of the lo­cal mar­ket, a skilled value anal­y­sis and the abil­ity to guide clients through the trans­ac­tion smoothly. Com­bined with the de­sire to su­per­sede his client’s ex­pec­ta­tions and pro­vide a level of ser­vice that con­veys to­tal sat­is­fac­tion, he is driven by a strong sense of in­tegrity and ac­count­abil­ity. To Thom­son, the most re­ward­ing part of his ca­reer is the sat­is­fac­tion he de­rives from help­ing peo­ple achieve their goals.

“I am com­pletely com­mit­ted to a suc­cess­ful out­come and achiev­ing my clients’ goals, Thom­son says.

Thom­son is a mem­ber of the In­ter­na­tional Pres­i­dents Cir­cle which rep­re­sents the top 6 per­cent of Cold­well Banker sales as­so­ci­ates world­wide. He ma­jored in Eco­nom­ics and Fi­nance at West­ern Washington Univer­sity. While at­tend­ing school, he worked as a sales as­so­ciate at Nord­strom, where he was rec­og­nized as a com­pany leader in cus­tomer ser­vice.
