Cather­ine M. Quinn from Trum­bull, CT passed on Tues­day Oct. 30th in Ft. Laud­erdale, FL after many years of liv­ing with and suf­fer­ing from health is­sues.

She was known as Cathy to her fam­ily and friends and was born on Jan. 6, 1942 in Bridge­port, CT. Her par­ents were Joseph Coyne and Cather­ine Coyne who lived in Trum­bull, CT. She moved to South Florida in her early twen­ties for the mild win­ters and warm weather after at­tend­ing the But­ler Busi­ness School in Bridge­port, CT. She mar­ried Thomas P. Quinn III on Aug. 11, 1963 and raised four chil­dren in South Florida after time spent in Quan­tico, VA and Beau­fort, SC where her hus­band served as a Cap­tain in the US Marine Corps at Par­ris Is­land, SC.

Cathy was a ded­i­cated wife and mother who poured her ef­forts into rais­ing her chil­dren in Ft. Laud­erdale. She was ac­tive in her chil­dren’s school by help­ing with sev­eral fundrais­ing events. She was also a sta­ple serv­ing the lunch line ev­ery Tues­day dur­ing the school year at the chil­dren’s gram­mar school: St. An­thony’s. She en­joyed her dogs, walks on the beach and had a vi­tal­ity for life prior to her ill­ness with de­men­tia. Cathy loved to watch all sports and was an avid fan of Vil­lanova Bas­ket­ball. Cathy en­joyed all the pro­fes­sional sports teams in South Florida and even trav­eled to sev­eral Su­per Bowls to see her beloved Dol­phins. She was sur­rounded by her chil­dren, Car­rie, Maresa and Jerry and hus­band Tom when she passed on Tues­day morn­ing, Oct 30th.

She was pre­ceded in death by her Mother, Cather­ine M. Coyne and her Fa­ther, Joseph Coyne.

She leaves be­hind her hus­band Thomas P. Quinn, four chil­dren: Pa­trick ( San Jose, CA), Jerry ( Bethesda, MD), Maresa ( Snel­lville, GA); Car­rie ( Ev­er­green, CO) and seven ador­ing grand­chil­dren: Brooks, Oliver, Chan­dler, Ben, Imo­gen, Hanna and Mag­gie. She also leaves be­hind two broth­ers: Joseph Coyne and Kevin Coyne.
