There’s ‘ ed­u­cated’ and then there’s ‘ ed­u­cated’

A re­cent let­ter writer took ex­cep­tion, and rightly so, to this pa­per’s de­pic­tion of vot­ers com­ing out for Democrats as “ed­u­cated” vot­ers.

While the in­tent may have been to mean “ed­u­cated” as in col­lege de­gree, it cer­tainly doesn’t mean an ed­u­cated voter.

An ed­u­cated voter would have asked them­selves the most ba­sic ques­tions, es­pe­cially when vot­ing for statewide of­fices.
