Allen E. Wolfinger Jr.
Allen E. Wolfinger, Jr., age 82, of Bridgeport, died on Friday, November 2, 2018, at Saint Vincent’s Hospital. Mr. Wolfinger ( Al) was born in Bridgeport, where he was a lifelong resident. He held many jobs throughout the area but was best known for his 30 plus years working as the bartender at Testo’s restaurant, where he serviced the community and friends. Al was an Air Force veteran, long- suffering New York Mets fan, and volunteer to numerous city- related functions such as zoning commissioner. He is survived by his wife, Janet Wolfinger. Survivors also include two sons, Allen E. Wolfinger III, Shelton, and Steve Wolfinger, Boca Raton, FL. Al also had a surviving brother and sister, Thomas and Barbara Wolfinger, as well as four grandchildren, a niece, and a nephew. Until the end, he maintained friendships, kept current with national and local news, and watched his beloved Mets on television. Al requested his passing be contained and memorialized by only his immediate family. There will be no calling hours or visitations.
