Law and We­ston vol­ley­ball teams ad­vance

The Law and We­ston girls vol­ley­ball teams won their Class M quar­ter­fi­nal games Fri­day night to set up a match in the semi­fi­nals next week.

Eleventh-seeded Law swept Non­newaug, 3-0. Katie Eighmy had seven kills, three digs and three aces and Pam El­li­son added 13 digs and one ace for Law, which won 25-8, 25-18 and 25-23.

Kate An­der­son had 26 kills, nine points, six blocks and two aces and Jor­dan Bais­ley chipped in 22 points and 18 digs for the 18thseeded Tro­jans, who de­feat- ed Granby Me­mo­rial in five sets (19-25, 27-25, 25-14, 25-21 and 17-15).

Law and We­ston will play each other in the semi­fi­nals on Tues­day at a site and time to be de­ter­mined.
