Pair glittering gold snowflakes with simple book-page circles to make a chic mantel garland like this one from Christy Little at Our Southern Home. Use a 1½" punch to cut out circles from the pages of an old book. Use a regular hole punch to create a hole in the center of each circle. Thread snowflakes and stacks of book-page circles onto a length of twine, spacing evenly. When finished, hang the garland from loops in the twine in the center and at each end. DESIGNER HINTFor easy symmetry, drape your twine over three removable adhesive hooks first, and then assemble each half of the garland separately.
