IT TAKES ONLY MINUTES TO TURN A MASON JAR INTO A HUMBLE FLORAL ACCENT.

MATERIALS Glass canning jar Round white paper doily Several rubber bands Clear- drying craft glue Wire for hanging Wire cutter

INSTRUCTIONS 1. Place the doily on a flat surface with the wrong side facing up. 2. Position the canning jar in the center of the doily, then carefully fold the sides of the doily to fit the jar, using your fingers to make crisp creases. 3. Use glue to secure the doily’s folds, slipping on rubber bands to hold the doily in place until the glue dries. 4. Cut an 18- inch piece of wire. Leaving a 2- inch end extending from the jar, wrap the wire around the neck of the jar, creating two small loops at opposite sides of the jar. Continue to wrap the jar with wire until you have a short length of unused wire. Twist this end of wire around the starting piece of wire several times. Press the ends flat against the neck of the jar. 5. Cut a length of wire to desired size to create a hanging loop. Insert one end of the wire into one of the loops. Bend upward and twist several times to secure. Repeat at the opposite side of the vase.
