Q: When the holidays are over and the last decorations are put away, how do you spruce up your winter decor?

I adorn my yearround tree with snowflakes and cotton batting. I also decorate the tree for holidays like Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day.

A couple of years ago I found some fabric with winter farm scenes on it: red barns, snow-covered hills, pine trees, a frozen pond, puppies, reindeer and adorable pink-cheeked kids sledding, skating and making snowmen. I made a table runner with it, and it makes me smile as I remember playing in the snow as a child. Now my grandchildren and great-grandchildren sled on our farm. That table runner brings up such nice memories.

I bring out my snowmen and place them all over the house each January. When I am tired of the snow, I pack them away for another year.
