What the brewer says

“This saison is 100 percent oakfermented and full of flavor. This beer’s dry, crisp, and refreshing light citrus flavor is complemented with a slight

Brettanomyces funk.”

What our panel thought

Aroma: “Orange, banana, and strawberry. Bready. Leather, horse blanket. Earthy hops aromas.” Flavor: “Low sweetness to begin, with a mix of bitterness and acidity in the finish. Earthy hops flavors (grassy, onion, green pepper). Minimal sourness/ tartness and a somewhat thin body. Nice lingering fermentation complexity in the aftertaste.” Overall: “Wild and crisp, but somewhat one-dimensional. Lots of Brett characteristic but not much complexity.”
