• Ply­mouth Yarn Nako Arya Ebruli (sport weight; 80% acrylic/10% al­paca/ 10% wool; 600 yds/100g per ball): 2 balls black white #6398 • Size 6 (4mm) 32-inch cir­cu­lar nee­dle or size needed to ob­tain gauge

Gauge

22 sts and 45 rows = 4 inches/10cm in garter st. To save time, take time to check gauge.

Pat­tern Notes

Scarf is worked side­ways, with the cas­ton and bind-off along the long edges.

Cir­cu­lar nee­dle is used to ac­com­mo­date the large num­ber of stitches. Do not join; work back and forth in rows.

Slip first stitch of ev­ery row purl­wise with yarn in front.

Cast on over bound-off stitches us­ing ca­ble cast-on (see page 95).

Scarf

Cast on 422 sts. Rows 1–10: Sl 1, knit to end. Row 11: Sl 1, k12, *bind off 12 sts, k36 (in­clud­ing st on RH nee­dle); rep from * to last 25 sts, bind off 12 sts, knit to end. Row 12: Sl 1, knit to end, cast­ing on 12 sts over bound-off sts. Rows 13–22: Sl 1, knit to end. Row 23: Sl 1, *k36, bind off 12 sts; rep from * to last 37 sts, knit to end. Row 24: Sl 1, knit to end, cast­ing on 12 sts over bound-off sts.

Rep [Rows 1–24] 3 times, then [Rows 1–10] once, end­ing with a WS row.

Loosely bind off all sts kwise.

Fin­ish­ing

Weave in ends.

Block lightly to mea­sure­ments.
