Drop St (DS): Drop st from nee­dle, and al­low it to un­ravel to where it orig­i­nated.

Shawl is made by work­ing 30 tri­an­gles, then sin­gle cro­chet­ing them to­gether as shown in the di­a­gram.

Tri­an­gle Make 30 Cast on 2 sts. Row 1: Yo, knit across—3 sts. Row 2: Yo, knit across all sts—1 st inc.

Rep Row 2 un­til there are 35 sts on nee­dle. Next row (Drop St row): K13, [DS, hor­i­zon­tal strand pick up (see page 97), k3] twice, DS, hor­i­zon­tal strand pick up, k13.

Bind off all sts.
