Enchanting colors paired with simple slipped stitches ensure an accessory that delights from start to finish.

Pattern Notes

This 5-color triangular neckerchief is worked sideways from the left point to the right point; the top edge (as worn) is at the right when the right side of fabric is facing.

Only 1 color is used per row; the pattern is created by slipping stitches and alternating 2 rows of main color and 2 rows of contrasting color. Different colors will be used as the main and contrasting colors in different sections.

Slip all stitches purlwise with yarn held in back. In other words, when slipping stitches on right-side rows, hold yarn to the wrong side of fabric, and on wrong-side rows, hold yarn to the right side of fabric when slipping stitches, thereby creating a decorative “blip” on the right side.

Charts of the repeated 8-row increasing and decreasing sections are provided for those who prefer to work from charts.
