Pat­tern Note

Mitts are worked in the round from the bot­tom up to the thumb­hole po­si­tion, at which point the fab­ric is di­vided and worked back and forth in rows. Af­ter the thumb­hole sec­tion is com­plete, the mitt is con­tin­ued in the round.


Cuff Cast on 32 (36, 40) sts and di­vide evenly onto 4 dpns; mark beg of rnd and join, tak­ing care not to twists sts.

Work 12 rnds in 2x2 Rib. Lower Hand Rnd 1: [K0 (1, 2); work 16 sts in Moun­tain Pat; p0 (1, 1), k0 (0, 1)] twice. Rnds 2–4: [K0 (1, 2), work 16 sts in Moun­tain Pat twice, k0 (1, 2)] twice.
