Kireina Cardi­gan

Draw­ing in­spi­ra­tion from both tra­di­tional Scan­di­na­vian and Ja­panese pat­tern­ing, this slightly flared cardi­gan fea­tures bands of stranded col­or­work at the hem­line and cuffs. The fab­ric is light­weight and easy to wear.

Wrap and Turn (W&T): Slip next st pwise to RH nee­dle. Bring yarn to RS of work be­tween nee­dles, then slip same st back to LH nee­dle. Bring yarn to WS, wrap­ping st. Cardi­gan is worked in pieces from the bot­tom up. Front bands are worked af­ter shoul­ders are seamed, then a dou­ble-layer col­lar is worked. Col­lar is shaped us­ing short rows.
