Hilo Cardi­gan

This sweet lit­tle cardi­gan is worked top-down with simple lat­tice work and an allover flower bud pat­tern. Per­fect for throw­ing on over the first dresses of spring.

Work [Rows 1–8 of Lat­tice Work] 1 (1, 2, 2, 3, 3) time(s), then [Rows 1–6] once. Next Row (RS): With A, k1, *knit next st un­der loose strand, k5; rep from * to last 2 sts, end knit next st un­der loose strand, k1. Break B yarn. The rest of the body of the sweater is worked with A.

Sleeves

Us­ing a dpn and start­ing at the cen­ter of the un­der­arm, pick up and knit 4 sts, place next 48 (56, 56, 64, 72, 80) held sleeve sts on dpns, and then pick up and knit 4 more sts for the un­der­arm. Place a marker and join to work in the rnd.

Work in garter st in the rnd for 6 (6, 8, 8, 10, 10) rnds. Bind off all sts.

Left Front Edg­ing

With RS fac­ing and us­ing A, pick up and knit 3 sts for ev­ery 4 rows along the left side.
