Pattern Notes

Hat is worked from the bottom up. The split brim is worked flat and then joined to work the body of the hat in the round.

Stripes in hat use approximately 30 yards of yarn, perfect for using up leftover yarns. Optional pompom would require more of each color.

For a slouchy hat, work hat to a height of 101/2 inches, ending Slip Stitch pattern on a Round 4 or 8. If using leftover yarns, be aware that this option would require more yarn.

Carry MC up inside of work when not in use.

Always slip stitches purlwise.
