Spe­cial Ab­bre­vi­a­tions

Slip, slip, purl (ssp): Sl 2 sts 1 at a time kwise to RH nee­dle; re­turn sts to LH nee­dle in turned po­si­tion and p2­togtbl—a left-lean­ing sin­gle dec. Make 1 Left (M1L): Insert LH nee­dle from front to back un­der hor­i­zon­tal strand be­tween last st worked and next st on LH nee­dle; knit through the back of re­sult­ing loop.

Bulky yarn and a loose fit are per­fect part­ners in this cozy pullover, which is ac­cented by a strik­ing lace panel and over­size cowl neck.

Pat­tern Notes

Pullover is worked in pieces and sewn to­gether. Af­ter seam­ing, stitches for the cowl are picked up and knit­ted on.

Back, front and sleeves are worked back and forth in rows. Cir­cu­lar nee­dle is used to ac­com­mo­date the large num­ber of stitches. Do not join. Cowl is worked in the round. When de­creas­ing on right-side rows, work [k1, ssk] at be­gin­ning of row and [k2­tog, k1] at end.

When de­creas­ing on wrong-side rows, work [p1, p2­tog] at be­gin­ning of row and [ssp, p1] at end.
