LONG HANGER

Row 1: With white, ch 4, dc in 3rd ch from hook (2 sk chs

count as first dc), dc in next ch,

Rows 2–72: Ch 2, dc in next dc, dc in top of beg ch-2, turn.

Row 73 (seam): Tak­ing care not to twist, hold rows 1 and 72 tog, ch 1, work­ing through both thick­nesses, sl st in each st. Fas­ten off.

SHORT HANGER

Leav­ing a long tail at each end for sewing, work same as rows 1–36 of Long Hanger. Fas­ten off at end of row 36.

FIN­ISH­ING

Lay Bas­ket flat with open­ing cen­tered in front. Po­si­tion Long Hanger around flat­tened edges of Bas­ket with seamed row cen­tered across first rnd. Pin in place. With a length of white and work­ing from bot­tom up and along the sides of Bas­ket to rnd 42, sew each long edge of Long Hanger to Bas­ket. Sew rows clos­est to rnd 42 tog to cre­ate a hang­ing lp. With a length of white, sew 1 end of Short Hanger to back side edge of hang­ing lp, sew other end to back side edge of seamed row at rnd 1, then sew each edge of Short Hanger to Bas­ket.
