PAT­TERN NOTES

Mo­tifs are made and as­sem­bled in Bot­tom, Top and Sleeve Stripes. Lower part of Body is worked in rows along the edge of Bot­tom Stripes. Up­per part is worked sim­i­larly along Top Stripe. Lower and Up­per parts are then stitched to­gether. Sleeves are worked in rows along edge of Sleeve Stripes and then joined to the Body. Note that for sizes Small, Large and X-Large one or two rows are added to the edge of the orig­i­nal Star Mo­tif to fit the ap­pro­pri­ate bust mea­sure­ments. Chain-3 at be­gin­ning of round and row counts as first dou­ble cro­chet un­less oth­er­wise stated. Join with slip stitch as in­di­cated un­less oth­er­wise stated. Chain-7 at be­gin­ning of round counts as first dou­ble tre­ble cro­chet and chain-3 un­less oth­er­wise stated. Chain-4 at be­gin­ning of round counts as first dou­ble cro­chet and chain-1 un­less oth­er­wise stated.

Make 2. Us­ing ice blue for rnds 4 and 5 and a com­bi­na­tion of other col­ors for rnds 1, 2 and 3, make 2 [0,3, 3, 0] Star Mo­tifs With 1 Edg­ing Row (see Pat­tern Stitches), make 1 [0, 0, 1, 0] Star Mo­tifs With 2 Edg­ing Rows (see Pat­tern Stitches), and make 0 [4,1, 0, 5] Star Mo­tifs (see Pat­tern Stitches). With RS tog, whip­stitch (see

il­lus­tra­tion) along edges of squares to as­sem­ble stripe as shown in Stripe As­sem­bly Di­a­gram.
