PAT­TERN NOTES

Weave in loose ends as work pro­gresses. Join with slip stitch as in­di­cated un­less oth­er­wise stated. Chain-3 at be­gin­ning of round counts as first dou­ble cro­chet un­less oth­er­wise stated. Re­fer to Join­ing Di­a­gram for join­ing se­quence in chain-3 spa­ces when whip­stitch­ing Mo­tifs to­gether. Re­fer to Place­ment Di­a­gram for join­ing se­quence of all Mo­tifs, be­gin­ning join and de­crease points. When work­ing into 3 cor­ner spa­ces of 3 joined Mo­tifs, work into chain spa­ces of each Mo­tif, work­ing over whip-stitched seam ad­ja­cent to cen­ter Mo­tif.

Place slip knot on hook, in­sert hook in in­di­cated st, yo and pull up a lp, yo and draw through both lps on hook.

With warm brown and work­ing hor­i­zon­tally in a zigzag di­rec­tion, whip­stitch (see il­lus­tra­tion) Mo­tifs tog through back lps of each st ac­cord­ing to Join­ing Di­a­gram and Place­ment Dia

gram (see Pat­tern Notes) and sewing through each ch-3 sp as fol­lows: First ch is sewn to ch-1 sp of Mo­tif in ad­ja­cent col­umn on 1 side, cen­ter ch is sewn to ch-1 sp of Mo­tif di­rectly above or be­low cur­rent Mo­tif, and 3rd ch is sewn to ch-1 sp of Mo­tif in ad­ja­cent col­umn on other side.
