PAT­TERN NOTES

Weave in loose ends as work pro­gresses. Join with slip stitch as in­di­cated un­less oth­er­wise stated. Chain-3 at be­gin­ning of round counts as first dou­ble cro­chet un­less oth­er­wise stated. With RS of Bas­ket fac­ing, re­fer­ring to Color Se­quences and al­ter­nat­ing di­rec­tion of sts as shown in Place­ment Di­a­gram (see il­lus­tra­tion), in­sert hook from RS to WS in any sp be­tween sts in lower of 2 rnds, hold­ing yarn be­neath piece, place slip knot on hook and draw through to RS, sur­face sl st (see Spe­cial Stitch) in next sp of up­per rnd, [sur­face sl st in next sp of lower rnd, sur­face sl st in next sp of up­per rnd] around, join in beg sl st.

FIN­ISH­ING

Weave in ends. Mix tog craft glue and wa­ter in same quan­tity. Dip pieces in so­lu­tion and gen­tly squeeze to re­move ex­cess. Cover outer side of bowls with plas­tic wrap and stretch Bas­kets over bowl to shape. Al­low to dry thor­oughly.
