Row 1: Ch 9, dc in 6th ch from hook (5 sk chs counts as beg lp), dc in each of next 3 chs, turn. (4 dc) Row 2: Ch 5 (see Pat­tern Notes), dc in each of next 4 dc, turn. Rows 3–8: Rep row 2. Row 9: Ch 2, in­sert hook in the 4 ch-5 lps on the same edge as work­ing (this will be rows 1, 3,

5 and 7) and com­plete sl st in ch-5 lps, ch 2, dc in each of next 4 dc, turn. Rows 10–64: Rep row 2. Row 65: Ch 2, in­sert hook in the 4 ch-5 lps on the same edge as work­ing (this will be rows 55, 57, 59 and 61) and com­plete sl st in ch-5 lps, ch 2, dc in each of next 4 dc, turn. Row 66: Rep row 2. Row 67: Ch 2, sl st in next ch-5 lp across from work­ing row, ch 2, dc in each of next 4 dc, turn. Rows 68–112: [Rep rows 66 and 67 al­ter­nately] 22 times, end­ing with a Row 66. Leav­ing a 10-inch length of yarn, fas­ten off. With tapestry nee­dle, sew row 112 to row 1. Block lightly. CW
