Row 1 (RS): Ch 1, 4 sc in ring. (4 sc, 1 ch-6 lp) Rows 2–19: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across. Row 20: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across, ch 4, join in beg sc of row 20, fas­ten off. (1 ch-4 lp)

CAR­NA­TION

First Join Mex­i­can Petal rose in beg ch-6 lp of Row (3 Nap­kin sc, 3 1: ch-3 [Ch Band. sps) 3, sc] 3 times in lp. Row [5 dc in 2: next Ch 1, ch-3 turn, sp, sc sc in in first next sc, sc] (15 twice, dc, 3 sc) 5 dc in last ch-3 sp. Row first dc), 3: Ch turn, 2 (does sk first not dc, count sc in as next dc, (ch 2, sc) in each rem st across, fas­ten off. 2nd Petal With WS fac­ing, join Mex­i­can rose in ch-4 lp on op­po­site end of Nap­kin Band, rep rows 1–3 of First Petal. back lp (see Stitch Guide) of op­po­site side of foun­da­tion ch, rep from * to * once, sc in next ch, join in beg sc, leav­ing a tail for sewing, fas­ten off. Sew 1 Leaf to rnd 2 of Petal Ring be­low any petal. Sew rem Leaf to rnd 2 of Petal Ring un­der op­po­site petal.

MUM First Pe­tals

Join gold in beg ch-6 lp of Nap­kin Band.

2nd Pe­tals

With WS fac­ing, join gold in ch-4 lp on op­po­site end of Nap­kin Band, rep rows 1–2 of First Pe­tals.

Petal Ring

Rnd 1: With gold, ch 10, join in first ch to form a ring, ch 1, 12 sc in ring, join in front lp (see Stitch Guide) of beg sc. (12 sc) Rnd 2: Ch 2 (does not count as dc), work­ing in front lps, ch 3 (see Pat­tern Notes), ( tr cl— see Spe­cial Stitches, ch 4, sl st) (petal) in first sc, (sl st, ch 3, tr cl, ch 4, sl st) (petal) in each sc around, fas­ten off. (12 pe­tals) Rnd 3: Join gold in back lp of any sc of rnd 1, work­ing in back lp of each sc around, rep rnd 2.

HY­DRANGEA

First Pe­tals Join blue or­chid in beg ch-6 lp of Nap­kin Band.

Petal Ring

Rnd 1: With blue or­chid, ch 10, join in first ch to form a ring, ch 1, 16 sc in ring, join in front lp (see Stitch Guide) of beg sc. (16 sc) Rnd 2: ( TRpc— see Spe­cial Stitches, ch 4, sl st) (petal) in first sc, (sl st, TRpc, ch 4, sl st) (petal) in each sc around, fas­ten off. (16 pe­tals)

Work same as Car­na­tion Leaf.

ASSEM­BLY

From un­der­side, in­sert pe­tals of Nap­kin Band through open­ing of match­ing Petal Ring and open Band to form Nap­kin Ring. Shape pe­tals to cover ch sp open­ings in Ring.
