Weave in loose ends as work pro­gresses. Each pant leg is worked sep­a­rately, then joined at the crotch with open­ing at the in­seam. The back and fronts are worked sep­a­rately across the top of the pant legs from side seam to side seam.

Row 1: With pale aqua yarn, ch 7, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each rem ch across, ch 1, turn. (6 sc) Rows 2–24 [26, 28]: Work­ing in back lps (see Stitch Guide) only, sc in each st across, ch 1, turn. At the end of last rib­bing row, ch 1, do not turn.

Row 1 (RS): At­tach pale aqua yarn to end of Row 3 of front open­ing but­ton­hole band at neck­line edge, ch 1, sc in end of next row and in each row and st around, end­ing with sc in end of Row 1 of left open­ing band, dec 1 sc over next 2 rows, ch 1, turn.

Rows 2 & 3: Sk first st, sc in next sc and in each rem sc around un­til last 2 sc rem, dec 1 sc over last 2 sc. At the end of Row 3, fas­ten off.

FIN­ISH­ING

Sew but­tons op­po­site but­ton­holes. Sew bear appliqué to right front bodice.

Just as cute and sweet, this one-piece out­fit from the June 1994 is­sue is still a wel­come shower gift and sure to be ap­pre­ci­ated by new moms as it was years ago!
