PAT­TERN NOTES

In or­der to achieve the strip­ing ef­fect shown in photo, it may be nec­es­sary to cut off first color as each new cake is started. Keep yarn cut­tings as full yardage of all 9 cakes is re­quired to achieve fin­ished length. Weave in loose ends as work pro­gresses. Chain-3 at be­gin­ning of row counts as first dou­ble cro­chet un­less other­wise stated.

SPE­CIAL STITCH

Looped sin­gle cro­chet (lp sc): In­sert hook in in­di­cated st and in ch-7 lp 2 rows below, yo, pull up a lp, yo, draw through both lps on hook.

(16 sc, 15 lp sc, 30 ch-7 lps) Row 4: Ch 3, *work­ing be­hind next ch-7 lp, tr in each of next 3 sk sts 2 rows below, dc in next sc; rep from * across, turn.
