Each row in Tunisian crochet consists of 2 parts: a Forward Pass where you pick up the stitches and a Return Pass where you work the stitches off the hook. The loop remaining on the hook at end of a Return Pass is the first stitch of the next row. Right side of work is always facing. Change color at the end of a Return Pass by drawing through final 2 loops with the new color. Fasten off current color if it would need to be carried up more than 1 row. The yarn overs between the Tunisian Simple Stitches will create eyelets through which you will weave chain lengths for the vertical stripes. On edging, move corner markers up with each round. Chain-3 at beginning of round counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated. Chain-2 at beginning of round counts as first stitch unless otherwise stated. Join with slip stitch in indicated stitch unless otherwise stated.
