PAT­TERN NOTES

Re­fer to Stitch Di­a­gram as needed. Weave in loose ends as work pro­gresses. Join with slip stitch as in­di­cated un­less oth­er­wise stated. Join Squares as you go re­fer­ring to Stitch Di­a­gram, or use one of your fa­vorite join­ing meth­ods from pre­vi­ous ar­ti­cle (see pages 20–22). Chain-3 at be­gin­ning of round counts as first dou­ble cro­chet un­less oth­er­wise stated.

SPE­CIAL STITCHES

Be­gin­ning clus­ter ( beg cl): Ch 3 (see Pat­tern Notes), hold­ing back last lp of each st on hook, 2 dc in same place as beg ch-3 (3 lps on hook), yo, pull through all lps on hook.
