SPE­CIAL STITCHES

Shell: (5 dc, ch 1, 5 dc) as in­di­cated in in­struc­tions. Be­gin­ning clus­ter ( beg cl): ( Ch 2— see Pat­tern Notes, dc) as in­di­cated in in­struc­tions. Clus­ter (cl): Hold­ing last lp of each st on hook, 2 dc as in­di­cated in in­struc­tions, yo, pull through all lps on hook. Be­gin­ning half- shell ( beg half- shell): ( Ch 3— see Pat­tern Notes, 5 dc) as in­di­cated in in­struc­tions. Half- shell: 6 dc as in­di­cated in in­struc­tions.

PAT­TERN

Row 1: Ch mul­ti­ple of 10 plus 2, sc in 2nd ch from hook, *sk next 4 chs, shell (see Spe­cial Stitches) in next ch, sk next 4 chs, sc in next ch, rep from * across, turn.

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st and ch-1 sp across, turn.

Row 3: Beg cl (see Spe­cial Stitches) in first sc, *ch 3, sk next 3 sc, hdc dec (see Stitch Guide) in next 2 sc, sc in next st, hdc dec in next 2 sc, ch 3, sk next 3 sc, cl (see Spe­cial Stitches) in next sc, rep from * across, turn.

Row 4: Beg half- shell (see Spe­cial Stitches) in first cl, sc in next sc, *shell in next cl, sc in next sc, rep from * across to last st, half- shell (see Spe­cial Stitches) in last cl, turn.

Row 5: Rep row 2.

Row 6: Ch 1, sc in first sc, * hdc dec in next 2 sts, ch 3, sk next 3 sts, cl in next st, ch 3, sk next 3 sts, hdc dec in next 2 sts, sc in next st, rep from * across, turn.
