PAT­TERN NOTES

Chain-2 at be­gin­ning of row counts as first half dou­ble cro­chet un­less oth­er­wise stated. Change color (see Stitch Guide) be­fore work­ing the turn­ing chain, and carry un­used col­ors along the edge of the work in­stead of cut­ting them. The color se­quence is two rows each of daz­zle blue, blue grotto and fawn, which is re­peated through­out, ex­cept for Neckband, which is daz­zle blue. De­creases are de­ter­mined by the es­tab­lished pat­tern. If the third stitch from the hook or the stitch just worked is a sin­gle cro­chet, work the tall com­bi­na­tion de­crease (see Spe­cial Stitches).
