Zipper

Zipper should be just long enough to go from bottom edge of sweater to top of front panels. It should not continue up onto Hood. If it is too long, change length by sewing a new zipper stop to the appropriate spot at desired bottom of zipper. Lay zipper along front edge of Hoodie, placing straight pin in zipper tape at bottom edge of sweater. Using a sewing machine or needle and thread, sew several straight stitches across the zipper teeth through the tape on both sides to form a new zipper stop at the correct place. Cut off extra tape and zipper about 11/2 inches below new zipper stop. Turn Hoodie WS out. Lay out flat with Front edges even and right next to each other, as though Hoodie is zipped shut. With zipper closed and zipper pull at top of Hoodie, lay zipper with front side down and teeth lined up on top of the two Front edges. Place zipper with zipper stop at bottom edge and zipper pull at top edge. Fold extra lengths of tape at top and bottom under so they are inside Hoodie. Pin zipper tape in place. Using sewing machine with zipper foot or sewing thread and needle, stitch zipper tape in place and remove pins.
