Re­fer to Stitch Di­a­gram as needed. Work Mo­tif in joined rounds; do not turn un­less oth­er­wise stated. Chain-3 at be­gin­ning of round counts as first tre­ble cro­chet un­less oth­er­wise stated. Join with slip stitch as in­di­cated un­less oth­er­wise stated.

SPE­CIAL STITCH

Pop­corn (pc): 5 dc as in­di­cated, drop lp on hook, in­sert hook from front to back in first dc, pick up dropped lp and pull through.

POP­CORN SQUARE

Rnd 1 (RS): With pur­ple, ch 5, sl st in first ch to form ring, ch 3 (see Pat­tern Notes), 15 tr in ring, join (see Pat­tern Notes) in top of beg ch-3. Fas­ten off pur­ple. (16 tr)

Rnd 2: Join white ash with dc in any tr, 4 dc in same st, drop lp from hook, in­sert hook from front to back in first dc, pick up dropped lp and pull through, [ch 5, sk next st, pc (see Spe­cial Stitch) in next st] 7 times, ch 5, sk last st, join in first pc. Fas­ten off white ash. (8 pc, 8 ch-5 sps)

Rnd 3: Work­ing in back lps with pur­ple, ch 3 (see Pat­tern Notes), tr in same st, 2 tr in each rem st around, join in first tr. Fas­ten off pur­ple. (32 tr) Rnd 4: Work­ing in both lps, join white ash with sc in any st, sc in each of next 2 sts, [2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 3 sts] 7 times, 2 sc in last st, join in first sc.
