TIPS FOR ONE-SKEIN PROJECTS:

Crochet! - - Crochet In The News -

1. Create the length of a scarf first in long rows and stitch more rows until the yarn is used. No one likes a scarf that is too short, but slender scarves are still great! 2. If making a triangular shawl, start at the center point and increase quickly on both ends until the yarn is used. The shawl width is determined by the amount of yarn. 3. Choose a lacy stitch pattern. The more space there is in the pattern, the farther the yarn will go. 4. Don't waste yarn by cutting too often. If working in motifs, make them continuous to avoid wasting yarn that will have to be woven in. 5. If working two items, like mitts or socks, work them both at the same time from opposite ends of the same ball of yarn. When one runs out, the other will run out.
