PAT­TERN NOTES

Weave in loose ends as work pro­gresses. Chain-5 at be­gin­ning of row counts as first dou­ble cro­chet and chain-2 un­less oth­er­wise stated. Chain-3 at be­gin­ning of row counts as first dou­ble cro­chet un­less oth­er­wise stated. Chain- 4 at be­gin­ning of row counts as first dou­ble cro­chet and chain-1 un­less oth­er­wise stated. Chain-2 at be­gin­ning of row counts as first dou­ble cro­chet un­less oth­er­wise stated. Block Tote to fin­ished mea­sure­ments be­fore sewing side edges so stitch pat­tern is en­hanced.

Row 2: Ch 5 (see Pat­tern Notes), sc in first ch-2 sp, ch 3, sc in next ch-2 sp, *ch 4, sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 3, sc in next ch-2 sp; rep from * across, ch 2, dc in 3rd ch of beg ch-5, turn. (24 ch-3 sps, 23 ch- 4 sps)

Row 3: Ch 3 (see Pat­tern Notes), (dc [ch 2, dc] twice) in each ch-3 sp across to beg ch-5, dc in 3rd ch of beg ch-5, turn.

Row 1: Dc in 3rd ch from hook (beg sk chs count as first dc) and in each ch across, turn. (5 dc)

Rows 2–50: Ch 2 (see Pat­tern Notes), dc in next st and in each st across, turn. At end of last row, fas­ten off.

Cord

Ch 200.

Row 1: Sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in each st across. Fas­ten off.

FIN­ISH­ING

Block to fin­ished mea­sure­ments and al­low to dry. Fold Tote in half length­wise. Sew edges of row 1 tog. Tak­ing care to match ends of rows, sew side edges tog. Sew Strap to top edge of Tote. Weave Cord through ch-1 sps of row 31. C!
