PAT­TERN NOTES

Re­fer to Stitch Di­a­gram as needed. Throw is made from 149 mo­tifs, ar­ranged in rows of al­ter­nat­ing 6 and 5 mo­tifs each. Re­fer to Place­ment Di­a­gram for color and place­ment of Mo­tifs. Mo­tifs are worked and joined us­ing join- asyou- go tech­nique. Join with slip stitch as in­di­cated un­less oth­er­wise stated. Chain-3 at be­gin­ning of round counts as first dou­ble cro­chet un­less oth­er­wise stated.

SPE­CIAL STITCHES

2- dou­ble cro­chet clus­ter (2- dc cl): Hold­ing back last lp of each dc on hook, 2 dc in in­di­cated st, yo and draw through all 3 lps on hook. Clus­ter shell (cl shell): (2- dc cl, ch 2, 2- dc cl) in in­di­cated st or sp.

THROW First Mo­tif

Rnd 1: Ch 3, 17 dc in 3rd ch from hook (sk chs count as first dc), join (see Pat­tern Notes) in first st, do not turn. (18 dc)

Rnd 2: Ch 1, (sc, ch 7, sc) in first st, *sc in each of next 2 sts, (sc, ch 7, sc) in next st, rep from * around to last 2 sts, sc in each of last 2 sts, do not join. (6 ch-7 lps, 24 sc) Rnd 3: 2- dc cl (see Spe­cial Stitches) in next ch-7 lp, ch 2, (2- dc cl, ch 3, cl shell— see Spe­cial Stitches) in same ch-7 sp, *sk next 4 sc, (cl shell, ch 3, cl shell) in next ch-7 lp, rep from * around, join in top of first 2- dc cl. Fas­ten off.
