• Ly­dia Yarn Bliss su­per fine ( fin­ger­ing) weight su­per­wash merino/ cash­mere/ ny­lon yarn ( 31/2 oz/ 400 yds/ 100g per skein):

1 skein pas­sion fruit • Size G/ 6/ 4mm cro­chet hook or size needed

to ob­tain gauge • Ta­pes­try nee­dle

GAUGE

11 fpdc = 2 inches; 7 rows = 2 inches Take time to check gauge.

PAT­TERN NOTES

Chain-2 at be­gin­ning of row on Head­band counts as first half dou­ble cro­chet un­less other­wise stated. Chain-2 at be­gin­ning of round on Mitt does not count as a stitch un­less other­wise stated. Join with slip stitch as in­di­cated un­less other­wise stated.

Post stitches cre­ate ca­bles that add tex­ture and warmth in this co­or­di­nat­ing set.

HEAD­BAND

Row 1: Ch 24, dc in 4th ch from hook (sk chs count as first dc) and in each rem ch across, turn. (22 sts)

Row 2 (RS): Ch 2 (see Pat­tern Notes), sk first dc, [ fpdc (see Stitch Guide) around each of next 4 sts, sk next 2 sts, fptr (see Stitch Guide) around each of next 2 sts, work­ing in front of last 2 sts, fptr around each of 2 sk sts] twice, fpdc around each of next 4 sts, hdc in beg ch-2, turn.

Row 3: Ch 2, bpdc (see Stitch Guide) around next st and around each rem st across to last st, hdc in last st, turn.

Rows 4– 61: [Rep rows 2 and 3 al­ter­nately] 29 times, or un­til Head­band reaches de­sired size. With RS fac­ing and work­ing through both thick­nesses, sl st ends tog. Fas­ten off.

MITT

Make 2.

Rnd 1: Ch 40, sl st in first ch to form ring, be­ing care­ful not to twist ch, ch 2 (see Pat­tern Notes), dc in same ch as join­ing and in each ch around, join (see Pat­tern Notes) in first st, do not turn. (40 sts)

Rnd 2: Ch 2, fpdc (see Stitch Guide) around each of first 2 sts, bpdc (see Stitch Guide) around each of next 2 sts, * fpdc around each

of next 2 sts, bpdc around each of next 2 sts, rep from * around, join in first st, do not turn.

Rnds 3– 6: [Rep rnd 2] 4 times.

Rnd 7 (RS): Ch 2, [sk 2 sts, fptr (see Stitch Guide) around each of next 2 sts, work­ing in front of sts just worked, fptr around each of 2 sk sts, fpdc around each of next 4 sts] around, join in first fptr, turn.

Rnd 8: Ch 2, bpdc around each st around, join in first bpdc, turn. Rnds 9–12: [Rep rnds 7 and 8 al­ter­nately] twice.

Rnd 13: Ch 2, [sk 2 sts, fptr around each of next 2 sts, work­ing in front of sts just worked, fptr around each of 2 sk sts, fpdc around each of next 4 sts] 4 times, ch 8 (thumb­hole made), sk next 8 sts, join in first fptr, turn.

Rnd 14: Ch 2, 8 dc in ch- 8 sp, bpdc around each st around, join in first dc, turn.

Rnds 15–30: [Rep rnds 7 and 8 al­ter­nately] 8 times. At end of last rnd, do not fas­ten off; con­tinue to Edg­ing.

Edg­ing

With RS fac­ing, ch 1, (sc, ch 2, dc) in first st, sk next st, *(sc, ch 2, dc) in next st, sk next st, rep from * around, join in first sc. Fas­ten off.
