PATTERN NOTES

Weave in ends as work progresses. Shawl is made as a simple rectangular block of double Solomon’s knots and Filet lace. Maintain even tension over the Solomon’s knots so they align with the Filet lace boundaries. The edging technique has frequent changes in direction and uses a number of stitch patterns. Chain-2 at beginning of row counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated. Chain-3 at beginning of edging rows counts as first double crochet and chain-1. Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.
