A Note From the Editor

Crochet! - - News -

I’ll admit it—I love winter, and I love snow! But I do not like being cold, so staying inside all cozy and warm, sipping tea and watching the snow fall is one of my favorite ways to enjoy winter.

As you can imagine, since I love the winter season, I also enjoy crocheting cold-weather accessories, clothing and throws. So it was extra fun to put together this collection of “all things cozy.”

In our All Wrapped Up chapter you’ll find a large variety of patterns for scarves, cowls and shawls to add a touch of warmth to your favorite outfits. Textures, beautiful colors and fun stitches will make it hard to decide which one to make first!

The Toasty Head to Toe chapter is all about keeping your extremities warm in style! Slouchy hats, beanies, headbands, fingerless mitts, slipper socks and more offer a wide selection of projects for you and your family. And as a bonus, all are perfect for holiday gift-giving.

In the Winter Wearables chapter we feature cozy sweaters for all ages. You’ll find gorgeous sweaters for yourself that are deceptively simple to make with stylish results. We’ve also included a classic man’s vest and sweaters for the kids, and even one for your favorite pooch rounds out this chapter.

And finally, in the Cozy at Home chapter you’ll find several beautiful afghans and throws to suit every decorating style. Choose from a simple and quick-to-make throw crocheted in super bulky yarn accented with fur trim, a beautiful Celtic-inspired cabled throw, or one of the other designs that are sure to increase the cozy factor at your house.

Grab your crochet hook and snuggle up! We’re sure you’ll find enough projects to keep you cozy and warm all winter long!g

Happy Crocheting!
