Di­vide for Front Now work­ing in rows. Row 1: Ch 2, beg ldc in first st, ldc in next 55 [ 62, 69, 76] sts, leav­ing rem sts un­worked, turn. ( 56 [ 63, 70, 77] ldc) Rep row 1 un­til Front mea­sures ap­prox­i­mately 63/4 [ 81/4, 91/2, 91/2] inches, end­ing with a WS row.

Left Shoul­der Work in es­tab­lished pat­tern across first 18 [ 22, 24, 26] sts. Fas­ten off.

Right Shoul­der From in­ner edge of Left shoul­der, sk next 20 [ 19, 22, 24] sts, join ( see Pat­tern Notes) in next st, ch 2, beg ldc in same st as join, ldc across. Fas­ten off.

Back Row 1: Join yarn in first un­worked st of Body next to last st of Front, ch 2, beg ldc in same st, ldc in next 55 [ 62, 69, 76] sts, turn. ( 56 [ 63, 70, 77] ldc) Work in es­tab­lished pat­tern un­til Back mea­sures the same as Front with Shoul­ders. With RS tog, loosely sl st through both thick­nesses of Shoul­der sts. Fas­ten off. Rep sl st seam across op­po­site Shoul­der.

AS­SEM­BLY

Lay WS of Pocket on RS of Front. With WS of Front fac­ing, sl st through both thick­nesses across top of neck open­ing and top of Pocket strip. With scrap yarn baste bot­tom edge of Pocket to bot­tom of front half of Body, leav­ing op­po­site side of foun­da­tion sts un­worked.

Lower Rib­bing With RS of Body fac­ing, and work­ing across op­po­site side of foun­da­tion sts at the back of the Body, join in first st, ch 8. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, sl st in same st as join, sl st in next st, turn. ( 7 sc) Row 2: Do not ch 1, sk 2 sl sts just made, sc in back lp ( see Stitch Guide) in each of next 6 sts, sc in last st, turn. Row 3: Ch 1, sc in back lp in each st across, sl st in next 2 sts along bot­tom edge of Body, turn. Rep rows 2 and 3 across back of Body. Con­tinue rep rows 2 and 3 across front of Body, but work­ing sl sts through both thick­nesses of front of Body and Pocket. Fas­ten off leav­ing an 8- inch tail. Re­move basted waste yarn. With RS tog, sew edges of Rib­bing tog. Then with RS of Pocket fac­ing, sew sides of first 6 [ 9, 10, 10] rows of Pocket to Body aligned to bot­tom of arm­hole open­ing. Sew op­po­site side of Pocket to Body edge in the same way.

Neck Rib­bing With RS fac­ing, join in back neck cor­ner, ch 15.
