Crys­talline Throw

Like a snowflake, the more closely you look the more in­tri­cate it be­comes. This fas­ci­nat­ing throw fea­tures lay­ers of stitch­ing to cre­ate a blan­ket of icy mo­tifs.

GAUGE

Rnds 1 and 2 of Base = 21/2 inches

PAT­TERN NOTES

Weave in loose ends as work pro­gresses. Mo­tifs are joined to­gether in Strips with a join- as- you- go tech­nique. Join with slip stitch as in­di­cated un­less oth­er­wise stated. Chain- 3 at be­gin­ning of round counts as first dou­ble cro­chet un­less oth­er­wise stated. Chain- 6 at be­gin­ning of round counts as first dou­ble cro­chet and chain- 3 un­less oth­er­wise stated. Use stitch mark­ers on in­di­cated stitches and move up as each round is com­pleted.

SPE­CIAL STITCHES

Sin­gle cro­chet join ( sc join): Place slip knot on hook, insert hook in in­di­cated st, yo and pull up a lp, yo and draw through both lps on hook.
