PAT­TERN NOTES

Weave in loose ends as work pro­gresses. Hold 2 strands of yarn to­gether un­less oth­er­wise stated. Join with slip stitch as in­di­cated un­less oth­er­wise stated. At be­gin­ning of next Pil­low Pocket, work into un­worked loops of last row and not into slip stitches of Join­ing Seams. Chain- 3 at be­gin­ning of round counts as first dou­ble cro­chet un­less oth­er­wise stated.

SPE­CIAL STITCH

Sin­gle cro­chet join ( sc join): Place a slip knot on hook, insert hook in in­di­cated st, yo and draw up a lp, yo and pull through both lps on hook.

Edg­ing With WS of Front and Back held tog, RS of Front fac­ing and work­ing through both thick­nesses, ch 3 ( see Pat­tern Notes), dc in each st across to last st, 2 dc in last st, work­ing in ends of rows of long edge, dc evenly sp across, work­ing in un­worked front lps of foun­da­tion chs of first Pil­low Pocket, 2 dc in first ch, dc in each ch across to last ch, 2 dc in last ch, work­ing in ends of rows of Fronts only of other long edge, dc evenly sp across, dc in same st as beg ch- 3, turn, with RS of Backs fac­ing and work­ing in ends of rows of Backs only, dc evenly sp across to bot­tom edge of First Pil­low Pocket, join in first dc. Fas­ten off.

But­ton Make 12. Ch 3 ( does not count as dc), 12 dc in 4th ch from hook, join in first dc. Leav­ing a long tail for sewing, fas­ten off. ( 12 dc) Sew But­tons to WS of Backs un­der each but­ton­hole. Insert pil­lows into Pocket open­ings and but­ton closed to se­cure.
