PAT­TERN NOTES

Weave in loose ends as work pro­gresses. Chain-3 at be­gin­ning of row counts as first dou­ble cro­chet un­less oth­er­wise stated. Join with slip stitch as in­di­cated un­less oth­er­wise stated.

SPE­CIAL STITCHES

V- stitch ( V- st): (Dc, ch 1, dc) in in­di­cated st. Pop­corn (pc): 5 dc in in­di­cated st, drop lp from hook, in­sert hook from front to back in top of first dc, pick up dropped lp, draw through lp on hook, ch 1 (to close st).

SCARF Ch 24.

Row 1 ( WS): 3 dc in 4th ch from hook (beg 3 sk chs count as first dc and sk ch), (sk 2 chs, 3 dc in next ch) across to last 2 chs, sk next ch and dc in last ch. Turn. (2 dc, 7 groups of 3 dc)

Row 2 (RS): Ch 3 (see Pat­tern Notes), V- st (see Spe­cial Stitches) in cen­ter dc of each 3- dc group across to the last st, dc in the 3rd ch of the beg ch-3. Turn. (2 dc, 7 V-sts)

Row 3: Ch 3, 3 dc in the ch-1 sp of each V- st across end­ing with 1 dc in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. Turn. (2 dc, 7 groups of 3 dc)

Row 4: Ch 3, V- st in the cen­ter dc of each 3- dc group across to the last st, dc in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. Turn. (2 dc, 7 V-sts) Rep rows 3 and 4 40 times, end­ing last rep with row 3. Do not fas­ten off at end of last row.

First End Edg­ing

Row 1: Ch 1, sc in the first dc and all rem dc across. Place 2 dc in the beg ch-3. Turn. (24 sc)
