to ob­tain gauge • Tapestry nee­dle

Leav­ing a 6- inch tail, ch 134.

Rnd 1 (RS): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each st across, join (see Pat­tern Notes) in first sc to form a ring, turn. (133 sts)

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sl st in first sc and in each st around, join in beg ch-1 sp, turn.

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in the first sl st and in each st around, join in the first sc, turn.

Rnd 4: Ch 2 (see Pat­tern Notes), sk the first 3 sc, dc in the next sc, ch 1, work­ing in front of the dc just made, dc in the 2nd sk sc, *dc in the next sc, sk the next 2 sc, dc in the next sc, ch 1, work­ing in front of the dc just made, dc in the first sk sc (dc cross-st made); rep from * around to the last sc, dc in the last sc, join in the top of ch-2 turn­ing ch, turn.
