Set-up Row: Ch 3 (see Pattern Notes), work 3 dc in each arch and 1 dc in each leaf along Left Front bottom edge, work 3 dc in outer corner of Left Front, work 2 dc in each row end of left side, work 3 dc in Back left corner, work 3 dc in each ch-4 sp and 1 dc in each leaf across Back bottom edge, work 3 dc in Back right corner, work 2 dc in each row end of right side edge, work 3 dc in outer corner of Right Front, work 3 dc in each arch and 1 dc in each leaf across Right Front bottom edge, dc in inner corner of Right Front, turn.

Row 1: Work row 1 of Rib Pattern (see Stitch Patterns) along edges, a Rib Corner (see Stitch Patterns) in each corner st and a Buttonhole (see Stitch Patterns) on Front Left and Front Right Border at approximately 16 inches from bottom edge.
Row 2: Rep Rib Pattern along edges, a Rib corner around each corner st. In ch-1 sp of Buttonholes work a dc in place of a post dc.
Row 3: Rep Rib Pattern along edges, a Rib corner around each corner st. Fasten off.
With RS facing, join yarn in inner corner of Right Front and work across front opening edges.
Row 1: Ch 3, 6 dc across row ends of Right Front Bottom Border, 2 dc in each row end of Left and Right opening, 6 dc across row ends of Left Front Bottom Border, turn.
Rows 2–9: Ch 3, work Rib Pattern across. Turn. Fasten off.
Weave in ends. Sew Buttons in internal Side Borders at about 16 inches from bottom. Gently block the poncho. C!
