A Note From the Editor

Crochet! - - Crochet In The News - Connie Ellison, Editor

Let me introduce myself: I am the new editor for Crochet! I am a lover of all things crochet and I have a weakness for yarn.

I like to quote Jean Leinhauser, past editor of Crochet!, who said, “Most of us who crochet are crochet addicts and share a series of syndromes: YAS ( Yarn Acquisition Syndrome), HAS (Hook Acquisition Syndrome) PAS (Pattern Acquisition Syndrome) and MAS (Magazine Acquisition Syndrome).” I am proud to say I suffer from all of these syndromes!

My children have long since left the nest and their old closets are filled with boxes and bags of yarns of all colors, textures and weights. Not to mention drawers filled with hooks in all shapes, sizes and colors, and bookshelves filled with decades of pattern and magazine collections.

I freely admit that I am a “crochet addict,” so you can imagine how excited I was when I was asked to be the editor of Crochet! I am honored to have this position and look forward to hearing your comments or suggestions.

This issue is filled with fashions and accessories to keep you warm and in style this winter, plus beautiful holiday home accessories and, of course, adorable little things for the baby in your life.

I hope you enjoy this issue as much as I enjoyed putting it together for you.

Cheers, and happy crocheting!
