PAT­TERN NOTES

Weave in loose ends as work pro­gresses. Re­fer to sym­bol di­a­gram as nec­es­sary. Chain-3 at be­gin­ning of rows counts as first dou­ble cro­chet. Join with slip stitch as in­di­cated un­less oth­er­wise stated.

Con­tinue in Lace pat­tern un­til piece mea­sures ap­prox­i­mately 131/2 [141/2, 15, 151/2, 16, 161/2] inches from marker end­ing with Row 3 or 5 in Lace pat­tern.

Next row: Ch 3, dc in back lp of each dc or ch across, dc in turn­ing ch, turn.

Last row: Ch 3, dc in front lp of each dc across. Fas­ten off.

ASSEM­BLY

Sew shoul­der seams from outer edge to­ward neck open­ing, leav­ing 11 [111/2, 111/2, 12, 12, 121/2] inches open for neck.

Worked from top down.

Setup Row (RS): Start­ing at marker for arm­hole join (see Pat­tern Notes) yarn at side, ch 3, work 31 [33, 36, 37, 40, 42] dc evenly along to shoul­der seam, the work 32 [33, 36, 38, 41, 42] dc evenly down to marker, turn. (64 [67, 73, 76, 82, 85] dc)

Rows 1–5: Work rows 1–5 of Lace Pat­tern. Row 6 (dec): Ch 3, work­ing dc in back lps, 1 [0, 0, 1, 0, 1] dc, { dc dec (see Stitch Guide) in next 2 sts, 8 [9, 10, 6, 7, 7] dc} 6 [6, 6, 9, 9, 9] times, dc in back lps in rem sts and turn­ing ch. (58 [61, 67, 67, 73, 76] dc)
