PAT­TERN NOTES

Weave in loose ends as work pro­gresses. Do not join rounds un­less oth­er­wise stated. Join with slip stitch as in­di­cated un­less oth­er­wise stated. Next Flower

Make 3. Rnd 1: Rep rnd 1 of First Flower. (6 sc)

Rnd 2: Sl st in first st (counts as a st), [ch 8, sl st in next st] 5 times, ch 8, join in beg sl st, ch 4, join to marked st on last Flower at­tached to Hat, fas­ten off. (6 sl sts, 6 ch- 8 sps, 1 ch- 4)

ASSEM­BLY

Cut a rec­tan­gu­lar piece of black card­stock pa­per 54/ 5 inches long and 52/ 5 inches wide. Fold the rec­tan­gle in half length­wise. Glue the 2 folded halves tog and al­low to dry. Once dry, cut off each corner op­po­site the fold by mark­ing a 1/2- inch- long di­ag­o­nal line from the ad­ja­cent hor­i­zon­tal side of the rec­tan­gle to the ad­ja­cent ver­ti­cal side of the rec­tan­gle. With Top Half of Brim fac­ing, sc join through edge of row 1 on both Top and Bot­tom Half of Brim. Mak­ing sure to work through both thick­nesses, sc in end of each row along the side of Brim and through each st on last row. Leave lp on hook and set cro­chet hook aside. Care­fully slide card­stock pa­per in­side Brim. Pick up cro­chet hook and sc in ends of each row along un­worked side of Brim, mak­ing sure to work through both thick­nesses. Fas­ten off.
