BEGINNER FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
25 inches x 30 inches
• Premier Candy Shop medium ( worsted) weight acrylic yarn ( 5 oz/ 260 yds/ 140g per cake): 4 cakes # 1057- 02 jawbreaker
• Size I/ 9/ 5.5mm crochet hook or size needed
to obtain gauge
• Tapestry needle
In pattern: 11 sts = 4 inches; 11 rows = 4 inches
Weave in ends as work progresses. Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.
Row 1 (RS): Ch 69, sc in back bar (see illustration) of 2nd ch from hook and in back bar of each ch across, turn. (68 sts)
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
Row 3: Rep row 2.
Row 4: Ch 1, 2 dc in each st across to last st, dc in last st, turn. (135 sts)
Row 5: Ch 1, dc in each st across, turn.
Row 6: Ch 1, sc in first st, [sk next st, sc in next st] 67 times, turn. (68 sts)
Row 7: Rep row 2.
Rows 8–79: [Rep rows 2–7] 12 times.
Row 80: Rep row 2.
Rnd 1 (RS): Ch 1, sc in each st across, ch 1 (for corner), * rotate to work across side of blanket, work 82 sc evenly sp across side, ch 1 (for corner)*, rotate to work across bottom of blanket, sc in each unused lp of beg ch, ch 1 (for corner), rep from * to * 1 time, do not join. (300 sc, 4 ch-1 corners)
Rnd 2: Sl st in first st, ch 1, [sl st in next st or ch, ch 1] around, join (see Pattern Notes) in beg sl st. Fasten off. (304 ch-1 sps)
