GAUGE

In rib pat­tern: 21 sts = 4 inches; 12 rows = 4 inches In pat­tern used on back: 14 sts = 4 inches; 12 rows = 4 inches Take time to check gauge.

PAT­TERN NOTES

Weave in loose ends as work pro­gresses. Re­fer to Stitch Di­a­grams as nec­es­sary. Chain- 4 at be­gin­ning of first foun­da­tion dou­ble cro­chet counts as first chain-1, dou­ble cro­chet. Join with slip stitch as in­di­cated un­less oth­er­wise stated. Chain-3 at be­gin­ning of rows counts as first dou­ble cro­chet un­less oth­er­wise stated. When work­ing a front post tre­ble cro­chet around a stitch 2 rows be­low, skip the sin­gle cro­chet that lies be­hind the post stitch. Chain-1, half dou­ble cro­chet at end of round counts as chain-3 space. Chain-2 plus dou­ble cro­chet at be­gin­ning of rows counts as first dou­ble cro­chet de­crease un­less oth­er­wise stated.
