PATTERN NOTES

Sweater Body is worked from short edge to short edge, with neck shaping and single Sleeve Opening added as you work. Long Sleeve, Short Sleeve and Cowl are worked separately and sewn to body. Pullover Body fabric will appear scrunched up and will not lie flat until after blocking. Weave in loose ends as work progresses. To avoid additional ends, leave tail long enough for sewing seams when beginning and ending Sleeve and Cowl pieces. Chain-1 at beginning of row does not count as a stitch in Griddle Stitch or in Rib Stitch Patterns. 4 stitch markers separate Cable panels from Griddle Stitch panels on Body— move markers up with each row. At marked sections work row of Cable patterns as indicated, between Cable sections work Griddle Stitch in established pattern. In stitch counts, chain spaces in Cable patterns are not counted. Shells are counted as the number of double crochet stitches they contain, so a 2- double crochet shell is 2 stitches in the stitch count and so on. Post stitches are always worked around corresponding post stitches of the row below. Sleeves are worked in Rib Stitch Pattern.
