14 skeins # 100- 22 bit­ter­sweet • Size G/ 6/ 4mm cro­chet hook or size needed

to ob­tain gauge • Ta­pes­try nee­dle

GAUGE

4 hdc = 1 inch; 5 rows = 2 inches

PAT­TERN NOTE

Weave in ends as work pro­gresses.

SPECIAL STITCH

Di­ag­o­nal stitch (di­ag­o­nal st): Sk next st, dc in each of next 3 sts, insert hook in sk st, yo, draw up 3/4- inch- long lp, yo, draw through 2 lps on hook.

AFGHAN

Row 1: Ch 227, hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc in each ch across, turn. (226 hdc)

Row 2: Ch 2, hdc in each st cross, turn

Row 3: Ch 2, hdc in each of next 2 sts, hdc in back lp (see Stitch Guide) of each st across to last 3 sts, hdc in both lps of each of last 3 sts, turn.

Row 4: Ch 2, hdc in each of next 2 sts, di­ag­o­nal st (see Pat­tern Stitch) across with hdc in each of last 3 sts, turn.
